After this, once again when Mahakal Lok was started, there was a slight decrease in the number of devotees.

Due to the storm in Ujjain on Sunday, 6 statues of Sapta Rishi built around the Shiv Stambh in Mahakal Lok were damaged after falling from their place. After this incident, an atmosphere of panic was created among the devotees of Mahakal Lok. However, for some time Mahakal Lok was closed for common devotees. After this, after removing all the idols, Mahakal Lok was started again.

There was a decrease in the crowd of devotees
Despite it being Monday, today there was a decrease in the crowd of devotees in Mahakal Lok, built under the Mahakaleshwar Temple Expansion Scheme. Political agitation has also intensified regarding this whole matter. A team of Congress MLAs is going to reach Ujjain on Tuesday. According to former minister and MLA Sajjan Singh Verma, the team of legislators will visit the entire Mahakal people and their strength will also be tested. Former Chief Ministers Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath are also making allegations of corruption in this whole matter.

There is no dearth in the enthusiasm of Shiva devotees
Kavita Singh, a resident of Kanpur, who reached Ujjain to seek the blessings of Lord Mahakal, told that on Monday (May 29) due to high heat, there is a slight decrease in the number of devotees, but there is no decrease in the enthusiasm of Shiva devotees. . According to Pratap Singh, a resident of Kanpur, the Mahakaleshwar temple committee should be instructed to strengthen the construction works in the coming times. A large number of devotees come to Mahakal Lok, in such a situation, a small carelessness can lead to a big incident.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Mahakal Lok was inaugurated on 11 October 2022. Presenting Mahakal Lok as a model of development, the BJP government in East Madhya Pradesh is reaching out to the public in the upcoming elections. After the construction of Mahakal Lok, now the names of expansion schemes at Salkanpur and other religious places are also being named on the lines of Mahakal Lok. In such a situation, the government is also monitoring the incident on Sunday itself.

Complaint has been made in Lokayukta
Congress MLA from Ujjain Mahesh Parmar had also raised the matter of corruption in the construction of Mahakal Lok while complaining to the Lokayukta. In this case, notices were issued to more than a dozen people including some officers regarding the investigation. Now the Congress has started trying to raise its voice among the public in the upcoming assembly elections on the issue of corruption.
