Congress Meeting: The Congress high command held a series of meetings on Monday (May 29) on the issues of several states. While Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting with senior party leaders regarding preparations for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections to be held later this year, efforts were also made to resolve the dispute in Rajasthan. Apart from this, there was also discussion about supporting Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.
1. On Monday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting with senior leaders at the party headquarters in Delhi regarding preparations for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. The meeting was attended by Rahul Gandhi, party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, Digvijay Singh, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Kamal Nath and many other senior leaders. In this the organization and election preparations were discussed.

After this meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that the party is going to repeat the performance of Karnataka in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections as well and our internal assessment is that we are going to get 150 seats in MP. We just had a long discussion. Assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh in November-December this year.

Former Madhya Pradesh CM and state party chief Kamal Nath said that a very important meeting took place, the strategy to be chalked out in the elections, how to safeguard the future of Madhya Pradesh was discussed. 7. Sachin Pilot, who recently took out the Jan Sangharsh Yatra, has warned to start agitation if his demands are not accepted by the end of May. He targeted the Gehlot government on the issue of corruption. They put forward three demands, including the dissolution and reconstitution of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, compensation to youths affected by the leak of government exam papers, and a high-level inquiry into allegations of corruption against the previous Vasundhara Raje-led Bharatiya Janata Party government. .
8. Mallikarjun Kharge also met the leaders of the Delhi and Punjab units of the Congress. According to sources, most of them lobbied not to stand with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party on the issue of the Centre’s ordinance in Delhi. Leaders of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee met Kharge separately.
9. Sources say that Mallikarjun Kharge will give an appointment to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the coming days. Congress can also support the Aam Aadmi Party on the ordinance. According to Congress sources, the option of alliance with AAP in Delhi is also open. Senior leader Ajay Maken advised not to support Kejriwal, while Arvinder Singh Lovely gave the opposite opinion. Now the decision has to be taken by the high command.

After the meeting, former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu said on the question of alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party in 2024 that if there are ideological differences then the alliance cannot be formed.
