Crowd gathered to give blood to the injured, the doctor said – there was no place left in the hospital

Odisha Train Accident: 288 people died in a train accident on Friday (June 3) in Balasore district of Odisha. According to the news agency PTI, more than 1 thousand passengers have been injured. These people have been admitted to various hospitals in the state including Balasore District Hospital and Soro Hospital. During this entire accident, apart from the government and the rescue workers, people also helped the injured and the relatives of the dead from the hospital to the accident site.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jayant Panda of SCB Medical College, Cuttack told that people are coming forward and helping us in this difficult time. He said, “Youth, NGOs and students have thronged the hospital to donate blood. People are in line. We have received more than 3000 units of blood donation on Friday (June 2). We have also donated to PM and CM Relief Fund, but the number of people who lost their lives in the accident is increasing.

Policemen also came to give blood
Dr. Mrityunjay Mishra, Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) at Balasore District Headquarters Hospital also told that we are really surprised to see that a large number of youths came to donate blood. We collected around 500 units of blood overnight. Thanks everyone. This is a once in a lifetime experience. At the same time, according to the news agency PTI, policemen and local people are voluntarily donating blood here and in many other hospitals.

How did the accident happen?
Several coaches of the 12864 Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express derailed at Bahanaga at 7 pm on Friday evening and fell on another track. After this, these derailed coaches collided with 12841 Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express and its coaches also overturned. Then the coaches of the Coromandel Express collided with a goods train after derailing, due to which all three trains came under the grip of accident.
