Monsoon Rain Update: With the onset of monsoon in many states of the country, it is raining heavily. In the hilly areas, trouble has befallen the people. Along with landslides at many places, the incident of cloudburst has also come to the fore in Shimla of Himachal Pradesh. In view of the heavy rains, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Uttarakhand and an orange alert for Himachal Pradesh. Waterlogging was also seen in big cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai after the rains.

This monsoon rain has brought troubles for the people in Uttarakhand. Due to rain, Gadera is in spate on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath pedestrian route. Due to this, the pedestrians who had left for Kedarnath got stuck there. The stranded passengers have been sent to Gaurikund and other safe places. Traffic was disrupted due to boulder falling on the road in Shyampur area of ​​Haridwar due to rain. Due to heavy rains, orange alert has been issued for many areas including Nainital, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri.

Heavy rain in many areas of Uttarakhand

Haridwar’s SDM Puran Singh Rana told that due to rain people living in Haridwar have been facing a lot of problems. It is raining heavily since morning. No loss of life has come to the fore. The problem of waterlogging has come to light from many areas of the city, one of the reasons for which is the lack of drainage. There has been a complaint of water filling in some people’s house, which is being surveyed. Dehradun and Rishikesh of Uttarakhand also received heavy rains.

Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh

Due to the rains in Himachal Pradesh, along with the local people, tourists have also faced difficulties. During this, a lot of damage has been caused due to cloudburst in Sarpara village of Rampur tehsil of Shimla. Due to heavy rains in Kullu, there was a sudden flash flood in Mohal Khad which damaged many vehicles. The damaged vehicles were taken out with the help of JCB.

Meteorological Department issued alert

National Highway-3 closed due to flash flood near Hanogi temple in Mandi. Due to which the tourists had to face difficulties in reaching their destination. In Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the danger of flood due to sudden cloudburst in the next 24 hours. At the same time, there has been a sudden flood in the Harni drain of Mendhar in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. It is raining heavily in the northeastern states. Flood water has entered Nalbari district of Assam due to which lakhs of people are facing problems.

Clouds raining heavily in the plains

It has rained in many parts of the national capital since Sunday (June 25) morning. Because of which there was waterlogging at many places. Heavy waterlogging was seen after the rains in Gurgram district of Haryana, adjacent to Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that during the last 24 hours, it rained in many parts of Ambala, Karnal, Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Gurugram, Kurukshetra and Mohali. Apart from this, there was light rain in Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana.

Car stuck in river in Haryana

The Ghaggar river is in spate in Panchkula, Haryana. During this, an accident also happened. Due to the rains in Khadak Mangoli of Panchkula, a car got washed away in the river due to the rising water of the river. A woman had parked her car on the bank of the river. The woman in the car has been rescued and admitted to the hospital. The vehicle was pulled out of the river with the help of a crane.

It rained in UP and MP

In Moradabad city of Uttar Pradesh, people had to face problems due to waterlogging on the roads after the rains. It has rained in many other districts of UP as well. At the same time, along with Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, it has rained in many other areas. Due to light to moderate rains in many parts of Rajasthan during the last 24 hours, a drop in maximum and minimum temperature was recorded.

Two killed in building collapse in Mumbai

Monsoon had knocked in Mumbai on Saturday itself. Maharashtra IMD official Sushma Nair said that there was heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai in the last 24 hours. Monsoon has entered the entire state along with Mumbai from June 25. We have warned of heavy to very heavy rains in the coastal areas in the coming 4-5 days. There has been waterlogging in many areas of Mumbai on Sunday due to rain. During this, two buildings also collapsed in which two people died.

Orange alert issued in Odisha

IMD scientist Umashankar Das of Bhubaneswar told news agency ANI that low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal and North Odisha, due to which continuous rains are continuing. In the last 24 hours, 27.3 mm of rain has been received, which is 205% more, highest rainfall has been recorded in Sambalpur. Heavy rain has been recorded in 35 of our stations and very heavy rain has been recorded in 8 stations. For the next 48 hours, the maximum effect of this low pressure will be in Odisha, so we have issued orange alerts for 13 districts.

What did the IMD DG say?

Regarding monsoon, IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra told news agency ANI that the south-west monsoon is still active and there has been good rainfall in central India in the last 24 hours. Monsoon has arrived in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh as well as in Delhi. Our forecast is that the monsoon will advance further in the next two days. Rain will continue in Delhi for the next 2 days.
