According to the priest of the ashram, Pandit Rupam Vyas, Lord Shri Krishna had come to the ashram in Dwapar Yuga to receive education from his Guru Sandipani. His elder brother Balram also came with him. Both had received the knowledge of 64 different arts from their Guru Sandipani here for 64 days. According to Pandit Rupam Vyas, a descendant of Guru Sandipani, a large number of students reach the ashram on Guru Purnima for the Akshar Aarambh Sanskar. They say that when a student enters the school, before that he comes to Sandipani Ashram and takes the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna and Guru Sandipani. It is believed that it develops the intelligence of the student. This is the reason that every year a large number of small students come to seek blessings.
Slate is also worshiped
According to devotee Sharda Trivedi, she has reached Sandipani Ashram from Indore with her children. Along with Guru Sandipani, the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna Baldau are also received here. He told that small children reach with their slate, pen and start their education by writing the first word in front of Guru Sandipani. He is also worshiped by keeping a slate here.
