Uniform Civil Code Issue: On the issue of Uniform Civil Code, a joint statement has been issued by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board quoting Muslim religious leaders. In this, the government has been demanded to give up the intention of bringing it. Along with this, the people of the Muslim community have been urged to give their feedback on the opinion sought by the Law Commission and make it clear that UCC is never acceptable.

All India Muslim Personal Law Board spokesperson Dr. Syed Kasim Rasool Ilyas issued this joint statement on Friday (July 7), in which the names of many prominent Muslim religious leaders, including the President of the Muslim Personal Law Board, are mentioned in favor of the UCC. are not.

What was said in the joint statement of Muslim religious leaders?

The joint statement read, “The Muslim Personal Law, which is based on the Sharia Application Act 1937, is linked to the religious identity of Muslims in our country. Most of these orders are proved by the verses of Quran Majeed and authentic hadiths. That’s why there is a consensus of the Ummah on him.

It read, “Therefore, the Muslim community of India unanimously demands from the Government to give up the intention of bringing Uniform Civil Code affecting Muslim Personal Law and to give fundamental rights to all citizens of the country to practice their religion.” Respect the freedom that is given by the constitution.

‘We will never accept Uniform Civil Code’

It further wrote, “Muslims are requested to respond to the opinion sought from the citizens of the country regarding the Uniform Civil Code by the 22nd Law Commission in India.” Make it clear in your answer that we never accept Uniform Civil Code. Try that before July 14, every organization on behalf of its organization and every person in his personal capacity should send his answer to the Law Commission through e-mail or any other means.

Let us inform that earlier on Wednesday (July 5), the All India Muslim Personal Law Board had sent its objections on the UCC to the Law Commission. Explain that the Law Commission has given time till July 14 to various parties and stakeholders to file their objections on the Uniform Civil Code.
