According to the Panchang, Ashtami Tithi will start on 26th August at 3:39 am and will end on 27th August at 2:19 pm. As Udayatithi is valid, Janmashtami will be celebrated on Monday, 26th August. On this day, a fast is observed and the child form of Lord Krishna is worshipped.

This year on Janmashtami, there will be Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga and Harshan Yoga. Along with this, Shiv Vas Yoga will also be formed on Ashtami Tithi. The time from 12:01 to 12:45 at night will be auspicious for worship.

Also, this time there will be a rare Jayanti Yoga on Janmashtami. Actually, this year the same yoga will be formed on Janmashtami as was there at the time of Krishna’s birth in Dwapar Yuga. This is called Jayanti Yoga.
