Prashant Kishore Exclusive: Election strategist Prashant Kishor is currently dominating the politics of Bihar and the country. Prashant Kishor, who was once one of the closest to Nitish Kumar, told ABP News in an exclusive interview why he left the Bihar Chief Minister. Prashant Kishor also mentioned the old days of Nitish Kumar when he used to be convinced of Nitish Kumar’s political potential.
Prashant Kishor said, “I never had the intention that I would have to do politics or come to Bihar and do politics. When we were with Nitish Kumar and he won, I could have taken any post I wanted in the government, but I left because I had no interest in it. He (Nitish Kumar) even forced me, but I never joined. At that time we saw that Nitish Kumar did good work for five years.
When and how did Prashant Kishor separate from Nitish Kumar
Election strategist Prashant Kishor said, “When Nitish Kumar went with BJP for the third time and won, I spoke to him. I also spoke to him a day before the results when he was a little nervous. At that time I had an idea that something was going wrong, but I did not know how much it was happening. When the results came, he spoke to me and I told Nitish Kumar that you should not become the Chief Minister. If you become the Chief Minister with 42 MLAs, what will you be able to do for the society… nothing.
Nitish Kumar turned around
Prashant Kishore further said, “Nitish Kumar kept telling me till 6 pm that I will not become the Chief Minister, he kept saying that if the public did not vote then how will I become the CM, but after 6 pm he turned around and became the CM. From this incident, I felt that Nitish Kumar no longer has the thought left in him about what to do for Bihar or what would be right for Bihar. This thought came inside him that I should just remain on the chair. After that, the position he has taken is well known.”
Prashant Kishore said, “There was a time when many people including me felt that Nitish Kumar had the capability to become the Prime Minister. After the 2015 Bihar Assembly elections, the whole country believed that Nitish Kumar could challenge PM Modi, but he dug a hole for himself.”
