Akshay Kumar Shares Jolly LLB 3, Hera Pheri 3, Housefull 5 & Welcome 3 Status Report: ‘People W

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is returning with sequels of successful films like ‘Jolly LLB’, ‘Housefull’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and now ‘Welcome’. Akshay Kumar, who is awaiting the release of upcoming comedy ‘Khel Khel Mein’ on August 15, 2024 spoke about the sequels of upcoming franchise films.

In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar shared that ‘Jolly LLB 3’, ‘Welcome 3’ and ‘Housefull 5’ are all set for a release in the coming 18 months. He told the publication, “Jolly LLB 3 shoot is complete; however, we are yet to shoot for the songs. Housefull 5 will begin next month. Welcome To The Jungle is 40 percent over. We are yet to start shooting for Hera Pheri 3 I hope it starts soon.”

A user shared, “I am in talks for an action film, maybe it will start next year,” he added, “People want to see franchises, so I am doing them. Whatever people say, we have to try and understand. But at the same time, I won’t give up doing different kinds of cinema also. At-times, even I want to give the audience, what I feel they want. Whether I succeed or not is a different thing, but that wouldn’t stop me.”

In the same interaction, Akshay also spoke about making the comedy film genre a serious one where people respect it.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in ‘Khel Khel Mein’ stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal. The film has been directed by Mudassar Aziz and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, Ajay Rai, Shashikant Sinha and others. The film will be released in theaters on August 15, 2024.

Akshay’s last two releases ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Sarfira’ did not do so well at the box office.
