‘Dhaka wants to have strong relations with Delhi’
In fact, the interim government led by Nobel laureate Mohammad Yunus was sworn in last week. Addressing Dhaka-Delhi relations, Mohammad Tauhid Hussain said, “It is important that people feel that India is a good friend of Bangladesh. We want this, we want to take the relations between Dhaka and Delhi forward in that direction. He said that the interim government of Bangladesh wants India to cooperate with us in this regard.
‘Bangladesh wants good relations with all countries’
Former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina is currently living in India. Recently, she had accused the US of playing a role in removing her from power. During this, Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauheed Hussain said, “Our policy is to maintain good relations with all countries while protecting our national interests. We want friendship with all and enmity with none. Our goal is to establish balanced relations.”
The aim is to conduct fair general elections in the country- Tauheed Hussain
Mohammad Tauheed Hussain further said that our primary job is to protect our interests. He said, “It is pointless to assume that this interim government is focused only on a particular direction. We want to maintain smooth and positive relations with everyone, including India and China.” Hussain also hinted at the possibility of general elections in the country, saying, “Our main objective is to conduct fair elections. It is unnecessary to speculate at this time.”
