Diplomats from China and Iran participated in the program organized by the Taliban. According to reports, diplomats from China and Iran, along with others, gathered at a base about 40 kilometers away from Kabul.

Speeches were given during the event and a military parade was also held. However, Prime Minister Hassan Akhund did not attend the event. PM Hassan Akhund’s Chief of Staff read out a statement of his at the event in which it was said that the current government is responsible for maintaining Islamic rule, protecting property, people’s lives and the honor of the nation.

Taliban officers brought by helicopter

According to reports, senior Taliban officials were brought by helicopter to the event held at Afghanistan’s largest airbase. The important thing is that Bagram Airbase has been the center of American power. This event was organized at this airbase.

When did the Taliban take over?

On August 15, 2021, the Taliban captured Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. It is important to note that according to the Afghan calendar, the anniversary is celebrated a day earlier. On Tuesday (August 13), Prime Minister Hassan Akhund issued a statement in this regard. In this statement, Akhund said, ‘The date of Taliban occupation of Afghanistan was appointed by Allah and gave us victory over the international arrogant and occupying force.’

Stringent security arrangements were made

According to media reports, tight security arrangements were made in view of the program organized to mark the completion of three years of Taliban occupation in Afghanistan. Tight security arrangements were also made in Kandahar, the spiritual home of the Taliban.
