Kolkata-like brutality with Uttarakhand nurse! Rape and then strangulation, accused arrested

Uttarakhand Rape Case: The police has arrested the accused from Rajasthan who raped and murdered a nurse working in a private hospital in the district headquarters of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. The police has recovered the mobile phone used in the incident, the clothes worn at the time of the incident and other important things from the accused. The police presented the accused in the court, from where he has been sent to jail. The accused had absconded after the incident with the female nurse, taking her phone and the money in her purse.

A female nurse posted in a private hospital in Rudrapur did not reach home after duty on July 30, after which on July 31, the nurse’s sister, a resident of Vasundhara Apartment, Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh, gave a written complaint to the Rudrapur police. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a missing person report and started investigating the matter seriously. During this time, the Bilaspur police of Uttar Pradesh recovered the body of the woman from the bushes.

Bilaspur police filled the Panchnama of the dead body and sent it for postmortem. The postmortem report confirmed that the woman was raped and strangulated to death. After this, Rudrapur Kotwali police became active again, and the police started investigating the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site. In the CCTV camera footage, a suspicious young man was seen walking behind the missing nurse. After confirming the nurse, the surveillance team started investigating the active phones around the incident site. The team reached village Tulsi Patti police station Shahi district Bareilly, but the team did not find anyone there.

Location of suspect found in Rajasthan

On the instructions of SSP of Udham Singh Nagar district Dr Manjunath TC, the team left for Rajasthan, UP, Haryana and other nearby areas. During this time, the police got confirmation of the suspect’s location in Rajasthan. The team arrested mobile operator Dharmendra and his wife Khushboo from Rajasthan and brought them to Rudrapur. When the police interrogated Dharmendra strictly, the accused confessed his crime.

After breaking her head, she was raped and then killed

During police interrogation, accused Dharmendra told that on the evening of July 30, when he saw the woman alone, his intentions became bad and he forcibly took her to the bushes and tried to rape her. When the woman resisted, he slammed her head on the road, raped her and then killed her by strangulating her with her dupatta. He left the body in the bushes and fled with her phone and Rs. 3,000 that was in her purse.

The police have recovered the mobile phone and the clothes worn by the accused Dharmendra during the incident. The police presented the accused in the court from where he has been sent to jail.

Why did the SP of Udhan Singh Nagar say this?

SSP of Udham Singh Nagar district Dr Manjunath TC while revealing the incident said that a nurse posted in a private hospital of Rudrapur was returning to her home in Dibdiba of Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh on 30th July. During this time she went missing, on the basis of which we got information on 31st July, we registered a missing person report and took immediate action and traced that she was getting off an e-rickshaw in Bilaspur. There was no camera beyond that.

The accused who raped the nurse was arrested

On August 8, a woman’s body was found in the bushes one and a half kilometer ahead of the woman’s house. SSP Dr. Manjunath TC said that during this time the woman’s phone was activated several times in Rajasthan area, after which our team took action and arrested Dharmendra Kumar son of Puran Lal resident of Bareilly district from Rajasthan and interrogated him, then he confessed his crime. Police recovered the clothes worn during the incident and his mobile from the accused. Information about the criminal history of accused Dharmendra is being collected.
