According to research conducted on more than 19 lakh adults from 20 countries across the world including South Asia, eating red meat significantly increases the risk of type-2 diabetes.

According to a report published in ‘The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology’, eating 50 grams of processed meat, 100 grams of unprocessed red meat and 100 grams of poultry meat every day significantly increases the risk of developing type-2 diabetes. Out of this, it increases by 15 percent, 10 percent and 8 percent.

Eating too much red meat causes many harm to the body. People of America, Britain, Brazil, Mexico and other countries have been alerted not to eat too much red meat. Because it increases the risk of type-2 diabetes to a great extent.

According to the Lancet report, people who eat more red meat are at risk of diabetes. 31 groups were included in this data.

Research has proved that out of 19,66,444 people, more than one lakh people had type-2 diabetes. Most of them ate red meat.
