Celtic Salt
Celtic salt has less sodium than table salt, but it has more sodium than pink salt and kosher salt. This salt may be good for people who want a low-sodium option but don’t want to compromise on taste.

Black Salt
Black salt is lower in sodium than ordinary salt. It helps with stomach problems like bloating, indigestion, stomachache, and vomiting. Apart from this, it contains important minerals like potassium, magnesium, calcium, and zinc which are beneficial for health.

Kosher Salt
Kosher salt grains are larger and coarser. This salt is less refined (cleaned) and does not taste as strong as table salt. However, it lacks iodine, which is essential for the thyroid, and has less sodium than table salt.

Low Sodium Salt
This salt has less sodium and more potassium. It can be the right choice for people with high blood pressure and salt-sensitive people. This salt should be consumed only after consulting a doctor.

Pink Salt
Pink salt is rich in minerals, which can help reduce muscle cramps. Its daily consumption keeps the blood circulation and pH level in the body balanced. This salt is becoming very popular nowadays, especially among health conscious people.

Regular Salt
This is the same white salt that we use while cooking every day. It contains iodine, which is necessary for the thyroid. However, according to experts, it should be consumed in limited quantities. Adults should not take more than 5 grams of salt a day.

Sea Salt
Sea salt is rich in minerals, but its grains are large and do not dissolve easily. This salt is not very refined, so it is considered more natural.

In one of her posts on Instagram, Anjali Mukherjee says, “There are many types of salt available in the market these days. My personal favourite is pink salt, which I use in my everyday cooking. But you should choose salt according to your and your family’s health. If someone has heart disease or high blood pressure, then you can also use low sodium salt.”
