Israeli army rescues kidnapped hostage – India TV Hindi

Jerusalem: The Israeli military said on Tuesday it had rescued an Arab civilian who was among those kidnapped in a Hamas attack on October 7. The army said 52-year-old Qaid Farhan al-Qadi was rescued “during an operation in the southern Gaza Strip.” Hamas-led militants kidnapped about 250 people in the October 7 attack that killed nearly 1,200 people, mostly civilians.

Hamas still holds about 110 hostages, about a third of whom are feared dead. The rest were released in exchange for Palestinians held by Israel during a ceasefire in November last year. According to local health officials, more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s counter-attack, although they did not say how many were fighters.
