When will the assembly elections be held in Jharkhand? CEC’s plan is ready, know the details

Fresh information has emerged about the preparations of the Central Election Commission for the Jharkhand elections, where the Central Election Commission has made a two-day visit to Jharkhand to prepare for the assembly elections.

According to the information, the Election Commission met officials of various political parties and different agencies involved in conducting the elections and discussed how the elections can be conducted in a better manner.

Most of the political parties have demanded from the Election Commission that the dates of the elections should be announced keeping in mind festivals like Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. Most of the political parties want that the elections in Jharkhand should be conducted in a single phase. Central security forces will be deployed along with Jharkhand Police at sensitive booths.

The Election Commission is also looking into how to reduce the difficulties faced by voters during voting. Especially in the electoral roll, where members of the same family have their names in different places.

Preparations are also being made to ensure that there is no confusion regarding the information about EVMs used in the voting and the reserve EVMs.

According to the current data, there are a total of 2 crore 59 lakh voters in Jharkhand. Out of these, 1 crore 31 lakh are male voters and 1 crore 28 lakh are female voters. Preparations have been made to build 29,562 polling stations in the upcoming assembly elections. These will be built at 20,276 different places.

Elections will be held for a total of 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, of which 44 are general, 7 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 28 will be reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
