Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s convoy attacked, head injured

Stones were pelted at the car of Sharad Pawar faction leader and former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Katol. Former Anil Deshmukh has been injured in this. Police has reached the spot. Deshmukh got injured on his head and bled. He was immediately taken to the hospital after the incident. Information about who attacked has not been received yet.

Monday (18 November) was the last day of Maharashtra election campaign. The campaign ended at five in the evening. Deshmukh was returning from Katol to Nagpur city. At the same time, unknown people attacked his convoy. The former Home Minister was sitting on the front seat of the car. It is being told that the window of his car was open.

Deshmukh’s picture has gone viral on social media. There is blood on his clothes. NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) has also shared the video on his X account.

Taking aim at the Mahayuti government, the party said, “Law and order in the state has turned 13. Democracy is being destroyed. An example of this came to light today when there was a cowardly attack on former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. The incident is publicly condemned by the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Chandra Pawar.”
