What does the study say?

In this study, it was found that the dose combination made by mixing two medicines is effective in 70% of BP patients. This medicine is also five times more beneficial than before. This study published in the International Journal of Cardiology Cardiovascular Risk and Prevention is a relief for BP patients.

1,981 people were included in this study. AIIMS conducted this study at 35 places in the country, in which both rural and urban people participated. The age of these patients ranged from 30 to 79 years. Let us tell you that for the first time such a study has been done on so many people.

Effect of new BP medicine

Many blood pressure medicines are available in the market. Dose made from the combination of two medicines is already being given but no study has ever been done on it. Earlier, patients were treated with African combination doses, but this study will help doctors a lot in choosing the right combination for the treatment of high BP.

Which medicines were used in the study

In this study, three common medicines Amlodipine+Perindopril, Amlodipine+Indapamide and Perindopril+Indapamide were used. It was reported in the study that a single dose helped in controlling BP in about 70% of the patients. The BP of these patients remained up to 140/90 mmHg, which is 5 times better than the current control rate.

How dangerous is BP?

ICMR-India Diabetes study states that 3.15 crore people in the country are suffering from BP. This is a very dangerous disease, lakhs of people are patients of high blood pressure. Many dangerous diseases can occur due to BP. It increases the risk of heart attack and brain stroke.
