Trump hints at ending Russia-Ukraine war, says Zelensky should be ready

Donald Trump on Russia-Ukraine War: Regarding the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, America’s newly elected President Donald Trump said that Ukraine needs to reach an agreement to end Russia’s attack. Amidst the ongoing war between the two countries, Trump has indicated that he may move for an agreement that would legalize Russia’s acquisition of territories. Donald Trump said about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida on Monday (December 16), ‘Zelensky should be ready for a deal. Because many people are being killed.

Trump further said that rebuilding the cities destroyed in the war will be the work of a century. Apart from this, he also rejected Ukraine’s hopes of regaining the occupied territories. Trump again criticized the use of American weapons to strike targets inside Russian territory, which was done with the approval of the current US administration. Trump’s statement may mean that if the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, he may be against the use of American weapons.

Cities have been destroyed, it will take 110 years to rebuild: Trump

Donald Trump said on Monday (December 16), “It is right to say that they want their land back, but most of the cities have been destroyed.” He further said, “You look at some of those cities, there is not a single building standing there, so when you say, ‘Bring back the country’, what will you bring back? It will take 110 years to rebuild it.”

Trump criticized Biden administration

Donald Trump reiterated several times on Monday that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if he were still president. Criticizing the administration of President Joe Biden, Trump said that allowing Ukraine to attack Russian hinterland using Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) was a wrong decision. The range of these missiles is approximately 300 kilometers (190 miles). Trump said, “I don’t think he (Joe Biden) should have allowed missiles to be fired 200 miles into Russia.”
