Deadline extended for employers
Yesterday i.e. on 18th December, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made a big announcement for the employers. The deadline for uploading the details of more than 3.1 lakh applications pending for verification of higher pension options/joint options has been extended by EPFO.
Despite EPFO ​​setting the deadline several times, the details of all the applications were not uploaded by the appointees. Now, based on the requests received from employers and employers’ associations, the earlier time period for uploading the salary details of pensioners/members has been slightly extended.
Got time till 31st January
Online facility was provided by EPFO ​​to submit applications for verification of higher pension options/combined options. Earlier the time given for this was till 30 September 2023, which was later increased to 31 December 2023 and then extended till 31 May 2024.
During this period, approximately 17.49 lakh applications were received from pensioner members for verification of options/joint options. But some applications are still pending with the appointments. Keeping this in view, now the date line for uploading salary details has been fixed till January 31, 2025.
