Why is the night of Holika Dahan the most powerful?

The night of Holika Dahan means terrible night. The literal meaning of ‘Darun’ is harsh, fierce or intense. This night is considered important in Tantra because the cosmic energy is very ‘intense’ at this time. This night is considered best for the destruction of negative powers, obstacles and enemies.

End of demonic powers and consciousness

In Tantric rituals it is called ‘Night of Siddhi’. It is believed that chanting mantras and rituals performed on this night give results many times more quickly than on other days.
