When the pride of kings bowed before merit

In the Swayamvar Sabha, one after another the great kings and warriors try to aim, but no one is able to pierce the eye of the rotating fish. All mighty heroes fail in front of a heavy bow and a difficult target. An atmosphere of disappointment and surprise prevails in the meeting.

When the efforts of all the kings fail, Arjuna, sitting in Brahmin garb, stands up calmly. Many kings and spectators are surprised to see him. No one believes that an ordinary Brahmin will be able to complete this difficult test.
