The World Cup match between India and Australia was washed out due to rain, so how will the semi-finals be decided? understand

The decision on whether India will play the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 or not will be taken on June 28. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team will face 6-time champion Australia. If they want to get a ticket for the semi-finals, then the Kangaroos will have to remain strong at any cost.

Another big problem for the Indian team is that merely defeating Australia is not enough. If it wants to reach the semi-finals, it will also have to depend on the South Africa vs Bangladesh match. But if we talk about India vs Australia match, if it rains, then how will the semi-final be decided? When the rain comes, know what will be the equation of Team India going to the semi-finals?

If it rains, how will the semi-finals be decided?

If the match between India and Australia does not start due to rain, then the match will be declared canceled because there is no reserve day for group matches in ICC tournaments. In such a situation, if the match is canceled, India and Australia will get one point each. Australia will have 9 points, due to which it will qualify for the semi-finals. On the other hand, Team India will have 7 points.

The good thing is that even after having 7 points, the Indian team will not be out of the World Cup, but its going to the semi-finals will completely depend on the South Africa vs Bangladesh match. If South Africa loses against Bangladesh, it will be left with only 6 points, on the other hand, India will qualify for the semi-finals with 7 points. If South Africa wins the next match, then Team India will be eliminated from the tournament.

How will the weather be?

The sky may remain cloudy and strong wind may blow in London on June 28. Talking about rain, light rain is expected during the day, but during the match. Season Can remain clean.
