Sia Goyal, the main accused in the Ketan Aggarwal murder case, is once again in the headlines. This time the reason is not the investigation, but his objectionable behavior in front of the media. While being taken under police surveillance, Siya Goyal made obscene gestures towards media persons. This entire incident was captured on camera and within no time the video went viral on social media.

On Thursday (July 2), the police took Siya Goyal to her house in Market Yard, Pune in connection with the investigation. During this time she was wearing a black T-shirt and covered her face with a printed scarf. While coming out of the house, he looked towards the media persons present there and made an obscene gesture in front of the cameras.

Strong criticism of viral video on social media

After this incident, people strongly criticized him on social media. Many people described this kind of behavior as insensitive and inappropriate, despite being accused in a serious case like murder. According to the police, Sia Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary are accused of murdering businessman Ketan Aggarwal by pushing him from the hill of Lohgarh Fort near Pune on June 18.

Initially, Siya had told the police that the accident happened due to Ketan’s foot slipping, on the basis of which the police had earlier registered a case of accidental death. However, the police became suspicious after finding differences in Sia’s statements and her behavior during interrogation. Based on the evidence found in further investigation, the police arrested Siya and Chetan on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy.

Investigation also revealed that the marriage of Siya and Ketan had been fixed with the consent of both the families and the marriage was to take place in November this year. Police allege that Chetan Choudhary was not happy with this relationship and he considered Ketan to be an obstacle in his and Siya’s relationship. For this reason both of them allegedly conspired to commit murder.

According to the police, on June 14 also, Siya had allegedly tried to kill Ketan by pushing him off the fort, but Ketan survived by holding onto the bushes on the side of the hill. After this, Siya allegedly diverted his attention by pretending to have seen a snake and assured him that everything was normal.

The investigating agencies claim that Sia later prepared Ketan to go to the same fort again, where Chetan also reached. Police allege that both of them pushed Ketan from behind and made him fall into a deep ditch, due to which he died. Both the accused will now be presented in Vadgaon court. Pune Rural Police will seek extension of his police remand, while the defense may seek judicial custody.
