Famous educationist and social activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended her fast after 26 days. He says that after ending the hunger strike, accountability will now be demanded from the government. He presented his views in a sequential manner by posting a video on X on Friday (July 24).
He told that Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh had come to meet him. Apart from this, before that, 65 MPs from various parties had met us and signed a paper and appealed to us to break the fast. Sonam Wangchuk said that they (about 65 MPs) have told us that they will raise all the issues including NEET paper leak case and education system in Parliament. They will be discussed seriously.
Sonam Waganchuk said that the ministers of the Modi government have assured that no legal action will be taken against those who demonstrated peacefully during the Parliament Chalo March on March 20. It also said that the government is serious about all the issues including NEET paper leak and reforms in education. The government has also assured that appropriate compensation will be given to the families of those who committed suicide due to the recent NEET exam paper leak and no case will be registered against the students and youth who are protesting peacefully.

Medanta shifted from Safdarjung
Let us tell you that Sonam Wangchuk was first admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. His wife Gitanjali Angmo had demanded from the court that Wangchuk be sent to Medanta for treatment. During the hearing, Delhi High Court had ordered to shift Sonam Wangchuk to Medanta Hospital. The court had said that in view of his current health condition, constant monitoring by specialist doctors is necessary.
