A great achievement by a daughter of Bihar, she got admission in the University of Virginia, USA

Bihar Girls Success Story: A student from Bihar has started her journey to pursue PhD in Higher Education at the prestigious University of Virginia (UVA) in the US. This achievement is important not only because of the difficult process but also because she is the only Indian student to get admission in this department.

Chetna said that she had to face many challenges to reach this point. She told how she started the admission process by contacting professors and writing impressively about her research. After several stages and interviews, her hard work finally paid off and she got a full scholarship.

Despite many difficulties, Chetna did not lose courage and worked hard continuously. Her mother also supported her completely. Her mother’s courage and strength always inspired her. Chetna said that her family and teachers have contributed a lot to this success. She credited this success to her mother, who always supported her. In a society where government job is considered the main goal, doing PhD was a different path to choose. But she showed that with determination and support any challenge can be overcome.

I have done my graduation from DU

While describing her journey, student Chetna said that she showed interest in studies since childhood and graduated in Political Science from Delhi University. After this, she did her Masters from Jawaharlal Nehru University and then M.Phil from National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).

Research is not just a hobby or a side project

Chetna said that she is very excited to start her PhD at UVA and hopes to motivate other students as well. Chetna says that research is not just a hobby or a side project, it requires real passion and dedication.
