CUET will have to be given for admission in PhD in DU

Delhi University: There is great news for those candidates who want to take admission in Delhi University for doing PhD. A notice has been issued by Delhi University. According to which students who want to do PhD from DU will have to give CUET exam. The candidates who will pass in this exam will only be selected for the further process.

This will be the first time that the university will offer admission to PhD programs through a common test instead of conducting a written test and interview. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Executive Council. During this, approval was granted to several proposals including the five-year LLB programme.

Explain that the admission process for admission to PhD for the session 2023-24 will be done through CUET (PhD) to be organized by the National Testing Agency. Delhi University (DU) started taking admission in graduate programs through CUET-UG last year. Through CUET PG, students will be given admission in post graduate programs.

Apart from this, Delhi University has made changes in the admission process in the graduate program in the college. Now only one percent seats will be allotted for the students taking admission in colleges from the quota of sports and extra-curricular activities. Prior to this decision, students were given admission on up to five per cent seats. Colleges will take a decision on the remaining four percent seats. Apart from this, the proposal to set up the Center for Independence and Partition Studies in DU has also been approved. Simultaneously, the formation of Tribal Studies Center has also been approved.
