After the conclusion of the Olympic Games, the Paralympics are now being played. India’s para badminton player Suhas LY had made it to the finals. Although he did not succeed in the finals. But he got the silver medal. He created history by making it to the second consecutive Paralympic finals. Suhas is not only serving as a collector, but is also flying the flag of India at the international level.

Suhas LY received higher education in engineering and public policy. He prepared for the UPSC exam while working and got success in 2007. He got 382nd rank in this exam. Suhas LY served as District Magistrate in various districts of Uttar Pradesh and made significant contributions to development work. He is a brilliant para-badminton player and has also represented India at the international level. IAS Suhas has been awarded many awards including the “Best District Magistrate” award.

Suhas LY, a resident of Karnataka, graduated in Computer Engineering from Karnataka’s National Institute of Technology, Surathkal in 2004. He completed his engineering studies with distinction. After his father’s death, he decided to join the civil service. His wife is also an IAS officer in the UP cadre. Suhas says that his parents insisted on him playing with his classmates and allowed him to compete in inter-school races. He says that his parents never let him feel that there was any deficiency in him. Today Suhas is famous everywhere, from studies to sports.
