NEET UG exam tomorrow, ban on everything from designer clothes to shoes; See complete details here

NEET UG 2026: NEET UG 2026 exam is very important for lakhs of students across the country. It is through this examination that one can get admission in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses in medical colleges. This year this examination will be conducted on May 3 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Before the examination, National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued clear rules and guidelines, which every student is required to follow.

If any student does not follow these rules then he cannot get admission in the examination centre. Therefore, along with preparation, it is very important to understand these rules. So today let us tell you the complete details of NEET UG exam from documents to dress code.

NEET UG Exam Timings and Entry Rules

NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted on May 3 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and entry into the exam center will start from 11:00 am. Students have to keep in mind that the last entry time is till 1:30 pm only, after which no candidate will be allowed inside the examination centre. Therefore, all the candidates are advised to reach the examination center well before time so that their security check, biometric process and other things can be completed without any hassle and they can take the examination on time.

NEET UG Dress Code

NTA has directed that students should wear simple and light clothes in the NEET exam. Candidates can wear half sleeve shirt or T-shirt and simple pants or trousers, so that they can take the exam comfortably. At the same time, one should avoid wearing full sleeve clothes, heavy or designer clothes, jeans with more buttons or metal and clothes with many layers as these can increase the time in checking. If a student comes wearing religious or traditional clothes, he/she is advised to reach the examination center at least 1 to 1.5 hours before, so that his/her scrutiny can be completed properly.

Shoes and footwear rules

Clear rules have been made regarding footwear in the NEET exam, according to which it is completely prohibited to go to the examination center wearing shoes. Students have been allowed to wear only slippers or low heel sandals so that the security check can be done quickly and easily. It is advisable to avoid footwear like high heels or heavy shoes as such shoes take longer time in checking and slow down the entry process.

What things are banned

Due to security reasons, jewelery and many other things are completely banned in NEET exam, hence students should not go to the examination center wearing any jewelery like watch, ring, chain, bracelet, earring, nose clove. Apart from this, carrying or wearing belts, caps, scarves, bangles, amulets and any kind of metal items is also not allowed.

What things are strictly forbidden to carry

Many things are strictly prohibited in NEET exam, hence students should not take mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smart watches, calculators and any kind of electronic gadgets to the examination centre. Apart from this, it is also prohibited to take normal looking things like books, notes, papers, bags, purses and belts inside.

Apart from this, passport size photograph and completely filled self-declaration form will also have to be carried.
