Recruitment for 312 posts of nurses, apply like this

Nurse recruitment 2026: There is a big opportunity in HPRCA for women nursing candidates preparing for government jobs. Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has issued notification for recruitment to 312 posts of Assistant Staff Nurse in the Department of Medical Education and Research in Hamirpur. Recruitment will be done on 5 year engagement basis. The online application process will start on 30th July 2026 at 10:00 am and interested candidates can apply till 29th August at 11:59 am. Applications will be accepted through online mode only.

Who can apply?

Only female candidates can apply for this recruitment. The candidate must have B.Sc Nursing or GNM with at least 50 percent marks from a recognized institute. Apart from this, registration in Himachal Pradesh Nurse Registration Counseling (HPNRC) Shimla is mandatory. According to the Commission, the candidate should be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh. If a candidate is not bonafide then it is necessary for him to have passed 10th and 12th from any institute of Himachal Pradesh.

Age limit and selection process for recruitment

The age for this recruitment will be calculated on the basis of 1 January 2026. The minimum age to apply has been fixed at 21 years and maximum 45 years. According to the rules of the state government, SC, ST, OBC, Divyang and other eligible reserved categories will get relaxation in the maximum age limit. In the recruitment process, CBT or OMR based screening test will be conducted first. 120 multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination, for which time will be 90 minutes, each question will be of one mark. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for document verification, after which the final merit list will be prepared.

Salary and application fees

Selected candidates will be appointed on 5 years engagement basis. If selected, the candidate will be given a fixed honorarium of Rs 25,000 per month. For this recruitment, all category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 800. This includes Rs 100 examination fee and Rs 700 processing fee. To make amendments in the application, an additional fee of Rs 100 will have to be paid during the correction window.
