Now the total number of examination centers for Civil Services Examination has increased from 80 to 83. This time Bhubaneswar, Kanpur and Meerut have been included as new examination centres. UPSC says that this will reduce the increasing crowd at the old centers and students will also get ease in travelling.

According to the statement issued by UPSC, about 23 thousand candidates have selected these new centres. This has significantly reduced the pressure in the surrounding cities. Every year a large number of students go to other cities and take exams, which increases the problem of travel, accommodation and expenses. But after this step thousands of students are expected to get relief.

UPSC Chairman Ajay Kumar said that the Commission is continuously working towards making the examination process more easy, convenient and in the interest of students. He says that the purpose of adding new centers is not only to reduce crowding but also to provide better facilities to the students.

How many students chose which centre?

All three newly added centers received good response from the students. Bhubaneswar Center received the maximum 10,656 applications. This reduced the pressure on Cuttack Centre. Kanpur center was chosen by 6,938 students, due to which Lucknow The crowd at the center reduced. 5,902 candidates chose Meerut Centre. This time UPSC has also made special arrangements for disabled candidates. The Commission said that efforts were made to provide centers of their choice to students who needed special facilities. Additional seats were also made when needed. In Delhi region itself, around 805 PwBD (Disabled) candidates got the examination center of their choice.
