Which college will get which number after NEET, students with 700+, 650+, 600+ scores can see here.

NEET result 2026: After the release of Re-NEET 2026 results, the big question in the minds of lakhs of students is what are the chances of getting a government medical college based on their score. Like every year, this time too there is huge competition for MBBS seats. In such a situation, candidates who have scored 550, 600, 650 to 700 marks want to know what are their chances of getting admission in a government medical college. In such a situation, let us tell you today which college you will get at what number after passing NEET.

What are the chances for those with 700+ marks?

Candidates who score more than 700 marks in NEET UG are considered to be in the strongest position. With this score, chances of admission in major government medical colleges and top institutes of the state are high. Such candidates can get a chance for admission in prestigious institutes like AIIMS New Delhi, Maulana Azad Medical College, VMMC, JIPMER Puducherry and King George Medical University.

Medical College for those with 650+ marks

Candidates scoring 650 to 699 marks are considered to be in a very strong position. On this score, there is a possibility of getting admission in many prestigious government medical colleges as well as some new AIIMS campuses. Such candidates have good chances even under All India Quota.

College for those with 600+ marks

The doors of government MBBS colleges are also open for students who score around 600+ marks. There is a possibility of getting admission in many government medical colleges under state quota. However, admission in top AIIMS or most competitive colleges can be difficult. Opportunities on score may be better for reserved category candidates

College for those with 550+ marks

There is a possibility of government medical college for the candidates who have scored 550+ marks. Completely depends on the state category and counselling. In states with low cut off, there can be opportunities to get a seat through state quota, whereas in states with high competition, this score is considered very low for general category candidates.

What factors decide the cut off of medical college?

The cut off of government medical colleges in NEET UG 2026 depends on many things. These include the difficulty level of the exam, total number of candidates, increase in MBBS seats, category bar reservation, number of students scoring more marks and counseling for All India and State Quota.

What things should be kept in mind during counselling?

Experts say that candidates should keep an eye on every round of counselling. The seats keep changing in each round as many candidates give up their seats or opt for upgradation. During counselling, candidates should fill their college and course preferences thoughtfully. All the necessary documents should be prepared in advance, one should regularly check the notifications released on the official website of MCC and State Counseling and one should not miss the opportunity to participate in each counseling round.
