New Delhi: ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan is all set for an OTT release. Nag Ashwin’s dystopian film will be released on August 22, 2024 in Hindi. After a super successful run at the box office, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, this post-apocalyptic film will be released on both Netflix and Prime Video.
Kalki 2898 AD Telugu release
On Prime Video, the Telugu version of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ will be released while the Hindi version will be released on Netflix on the same day.
Speaking about the release, director Nag Ashwin shared, “Bringing Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) to Netflix allows us to share this story with a global audience. It’s a film that delves deep into the themes of hope, destiny, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. We’re excited for viewers to experience this epic journey.”
Prabhas, who played bounty hunter Bhairava, also spoke about Kalki’s OTT release, “Working on Kalki 2898 AD with a visionary director like Naga and an exceptional cast has been truly exhilarating. The film not only pushes the boundaries of storytelling with its blend of mythology. and futuristic elements but also delves deep into the complexities of human nature. Portraying Bhairava, a character driven by strength and conviction, has been incredibly rewarding. global premiere on Prime Video I hope viewers will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.”
Kamal Haasan, who portrayed the role of Yaskin, shared, “Being part of this grand cinematic endeavor has been both memorable and humbling. The film represents a significant leap forward for Indian cinema. It’s been a privilege to contribute to such an ambitious project, and I look forward to its streaming premiere on Prime Video, where it can captivate new audiences worldwide.”
Produced by Priyanka Dutt, C. Aswani Dutt, and Swapna Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2989 AD’ also features Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in leading roles.
Prime members in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide can stream this action-adventure film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, with subtitles in English.
Earlier this year, the makers unveiled the film’s universe through the two-part animated series, ‘B&B: Bujji & Bhairava’, available on Prime Video.
