Sanjay Dutt On Being Denied UK Visa For ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ Shoot: ‘They Did Not Do The Right Thing’

New Delhi: Sanjay Dutt has finally opened up about not being a part of Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Son of Sardaar 2’. The veteran actor was removed from the film after his UK visa was rejected by the British government. Ever since Sanjay Dutt was arrested for the possession of illegal weapons procured from the other accused in the 1993 Bombay blasts, he has been denied entry to the UK multiple times.

For the same reason, actor Ravi Kishan has replaced the ‘KGF 2’ actor in the Vijay Kumar Arora film which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Chunky Pandey.

‘UK government did not do the right thing’: Sanjay Dutt

In a recent interview with Bombay Times, the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ actor said,”I know one thing that the UK government didn’t do the right thing.” He also revealed that the UK government did grant him the visa initially. Then a month later you are canceling my Visa! I gave the UK government all the papers and everything required,” he said.

Sanjay Dutt expressed anger and questioned why did the UK government give him the visa in the first place when they had plans of canceling it later. “How come it took you one month to realize the laws?”

Sanjay Dutt added,”Anyway, who wants to go to UK? There are so many riots happening there. Even the Indian government has issued a statement that you should not visit UK. So, I am not missing out on anything.”

He also demanded the UK government correct the situation. He said, “I am a law-abiding citizen. I go according to the law, and I respect every country’s law.”

Sanjay Dutt might appear in a special appearance in the film. His part will be shot in India after the movie’s team returns from the UK.

Housefull 5

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is also part of ‘Housefull 5’ co-starring Akshay Kumar. However, the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala reportedly took the wiser route and chose all of Sanjay’s scenes in Mumbai instead of London.

On the other hand, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is the sequel of ‘Son of Sardaar’, a comedy film starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla in the lead.
