Shivam Dube Ruled out of IND vs BAN T20 Series: Shivam Dubey has been ruled out of the India vs Bangladesh T20 series starting from 6 October. In his place, 21-year-old batsman Tilak Verma has been included in Team India. India-Bangladesh series will run from 6-12 October. Fast bowling all-rounder Shivam Dubey will have to sit out of the series due to a back injury.
Dubey has been an integral part of India’s T20 team for the last several months. He was also a part of the winning Indian team of T20 World Cup 2024. He suffered the injury during the practice session before the match against Bangladesh. Due to his injury, India has lost one bowling option and apart from this, Shivam was also working to strengthen India’s middle order. But in his absence, Team India has fast bowling all-rounders in the form of Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
On the other hand, if we talk about Tilak Verma, he performed well in IPL 2024 and scored a total of 416 runs. Even in the domestic season, his bat scored a lot of runs. He will now join Team India in Gwalior on the match day i.e. Sunday morning. Tilak Verma has played 16 T20 matches for India so far, in which he has scored 336 runs. He also has 2 half-centuries in his name. Tilak has impressed everyone by playing for Mumbai Indians so far and now he will have a golden opportunity to leave his mark at the international level.
