IPL 2025 Mega Auction All You Need To Know: Now less than 24 hours are left for the start of the mega auction of IPL 2025. This time the auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will last for two days. There are a total of 577 players in the mega auction of IPL 2025. However, only 204 of these players will be sold.

The mega auction of IPL 2025 will be held on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mega auction in IPL is held every three years, which is a day long event. The IPL 2025 auction will start at 1 pm Saudi time. In India, you will be able to watch the auction from 3:30 pm.

Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. These three captains are part of the auction this time. Shreyas Iyer is also last year’s winner in this. Under his captaincy, he made Kolkata Knight Riders the champion of IPL 2024. There are two marquee lists in the auction with six players each. The first includes Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Jos Buttler, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada and Mitchell Starc. The others include KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.

There are a total of 577 players in the IPL 2025 auction, of which 367 are Indians and 210 are foreigners. However, all 10 teams have a vacant bracket of maximum 204 players. This means that only a maximum of 204 players will be sold in the auction, out of which a maximum of 70 will be foreign players.

As always, Rs 2 crore is the highest base price. There are a total of 81 players in this base price. Apart from this, the lowest base price is Rs 30 lakh. Earlier it was Rs 20 lakh. Most of the players with base price of Rs 2 crore are Indians.

The IPL 2025 auction will start with two marquee sets. After that the first set of capped players will be revealed, who have been divided into batsman, fast bowler, wicketkeeper, spinner and all-rounder. Then the number of uncapped players will come. After this the acceleration round will start.

Let us tell you that all 577 players will not be called one by one. Only 117 players will be named one by one. Then the acceleration round will start from the 118th player. Earlier names of 574 players were shortlisted. Then 3 names including Joffra Archer have increased. 42 year old James Anderson will be the oldest player in the auction, while 13 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Bihar will be the youngest player.

Australia’s Cameron Green is one big player who is not part of the IPL 2025 auction. He has not been shortlisted due to injury. It will take about 6 months for Green to become match fit. 1574 players had registered for the auction. However, only 577 players have been shortlisted.
