Arshad Nadeem Javelin Throw Gold: Arshad Nadeem has won the gold medal in javelin throw in Paris Olympics 2024. He has not only won gold but also broken the Olympic record. This victory of Arshad is also historic because he is the first Pakistani athlete to win a gold medal in the history of Olympic Games. Now the Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province Maryam Nawaz has announced that Arshad Nadeem will be given a prize money of Rs 10 crore for winning the gold medal.

This prize money of 10 crores is in Pakistani currency, but if it is converted into Indian currency, then this amount is equivalent to about 3 crore Indian rupees. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also announced that a ‘Sports City’ will be built in the name of Arshad Nadeem in his village Khanewal. Let us tell you that Arshad Nadeem has done a historic feat by winning the Olympic medal despite not having world-class facilities.

We will build a sports academy in our village

Arshad Nadeem had said some time ago that he wanted to start a sports academy to provide facilities and good resources to those who want to become athletes in Punjab province. Actually, Nadeem was first inspired by his elder brother to pursue javelin throw. His elder brother said that there is a lot of talent in Punjab province, but due to lack of resources, that talent remains suppressed.

Had to demand a new javelin

Let us tell you that Nadeem was the gold medalist of the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the silver medalist of the 2023 World Championship. Despite this, he had to wander here and there to buy a new javelin in Pakistan. His old javelin started deteriorating after several years of use.
