4. Obesity can also cause low sperm count.

5. Sperm count may decrease due to imbalance of sex hormone testosterone.

Can any disease affect sperm count?

There are many diseases related to sperm like genetic disease, infection in private parts, venereal disease gonorrhea, due to which sperm count can decrease. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine of Baltimore, USA, if someone has had mumps in adolescence, his sperm count may decrease as he grows up. Apart from this, medicines taken for high blood pressure, depression, cirrhosis, ulcer, liver and kidney diseases can also affect fertility.
