People were shocked at the birth of twins in Rajasthan, mother got scared after seeing the skin

Plastic Skin Twins: Becoming a mother is the happiest moment for any woman. The mother becomes ecstatic after seeing her child’s face for the first time. But such a case has come to light in Rajasthan where after giving birth to twins, the mother got scared the moment she saw them for the first time. It is being told that these children, born in a private hospital in Bikaner, are suffering from a rare disease in which the children’s skin looks like plastic. People are calling them alien babies. Among these twins, one is a boy and one is a girl.

Everyone was surprised and upset after seeing these twin babies born in the hospital of Nokha town of Bikaner for the first time. The skin of the children was so hard that it looked like plastic. Cracks were visible at many places on the hard skin.

It is being said that the children have a rare Harlequin-type ichthyosis disease which occurs in one child out of lakhs. In this disease, the child’s skin becomes very hard and in the future it becomes difficult for him to even get up and sit. The chances of survival of such children are very less.

Is this really the first time Harlequin-afflicted twins have been born?
Doctors said that Harlequin-type ichthyosis disease is caused by a defect in the genes of the parents and due to this the skin of the child becomes hard. Such children have underdeveloped eyes and also have skin in place of eyes.

When the child starts growing, due to the growth of the body, the hard skin starts cracking and pain starts. This effect of the chromosomes of the parents being infected on the child cannot be cured by treatment. However, due to new treatment, ten percent of children are able to fight this disease to some extent. But they also have to face skin related problems throughout their life.
