Akhilesh Yadav News: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah will take oath as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir today (16 October). The swearing-in ceremony is taking place at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center in Srinagar today at 11.30 am. In which many senior leaders of INDIA alliance including Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav are also going to participate. Before the oath ceremony, the SP President has given his reaction and linked it to the unity of the India alliance.

SP President Akhilesh Yadav reached Srinagar on Tuesday itself to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Omar Abdullah. Where he met the Abdullah family, some pictures of which he shared on his social media account X. In these pictures, he is seen with NCP leader Omar Abdullah and his father Farooq Abdullah, while in other pictures he is seen with other leaders of the India alliance. While sharing these pictures, he wrote- ‘Unity is ‘India’!’

In the pictures shared by Akhilesh Yadav, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule and CPI leader D Raja are also seen along with the SP President. All of them have reached Srinagar to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister-designate of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah. Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had shared another picture of Srinagar and said- ‘A new destiny is going to be written, this is Kashmir!’

Many leaders of the India alliance are going to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Omar Abdullah. These include names like Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and Sukhbir Singh Badal. At the same time, before the swearing-in, the Congress Party, which is contesting the elections in Jammu and Kashmir along with the National Conference, has taken a big decision. Instead of joining the Omar government, Congress will support it from outside.

Let us tell you that Samajwadi Party had also fielded candidates on 20 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Most of these were seats where Muslim population was high. However, despite its excellent performance in UP, SP has not got much success here. Even the security deposits of SP candidates were confiscated on all the seats. There were many seats where SP candidates got less than 500 votes.
