Bihar Flood: Flood water has entered Mohana Chandpur Panchayat of Barari block area under Katihar district of Bihar. This has completely disrupted the lives of the people. The situation of Mohana Chandpur Panchayat has been the same for decades. Every year flood water comes in this Panchayat. This year the situation is looking terrible. Due to the rapid increase in the water level of Kari, Kosi and Ganga rivers, everything from ward number eight to ward number 17 of Mohana Chandpur Panchayat has been submerged. At the same time, due to the problem of flood, the people here are also craving for pure water.

Administration is indifferent to the flood problem

Local people said that till now no help has been provided by the government administration. No official has come to see the situation, neither a government boat has been found nor any doctor has come, due to which the affected people are wandering from door to door for treatment. Hand pumps and government taps have also been submerged due to which people are not able to get any pure drinking water. In these difficulties, the affected families have appealed to the district administration for government boats and pure drinking water. At the same time, seeing the flood water rising rapidly, people are forced to leave their homes and go to higher places.
