Pakistan Punjab Blast: At least six people were killed and two others were injured in a bomb blast in a house on Thursday (June 1) in Daya Din Panah area of Kot Addu district in Punjab, Pakistan. Confirming the incident, Muzaffargarh District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Hasnain Haider said that all the deceased belonged to the same family, who used to sell junk. He said that the family was removing the junk when suddenly there was an explosion.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson who reached the spot said that two women Haseena Mai (40) and Shano Mai (28) were also among the dead. The two men are Bilal (38), Iqbal (30) and two children, one of whom was two years old and the other four. Injured persons and dead bodies have been taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Kot Addu.
Muzaffargarh District Police Officer (DPO) Haider further said that the blast is being investigated to know about its condition. Apart from this, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed grief over the loss of life and property and sought a report on the incident from the Inspector General of Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar.

When the rescue team reached the spot, they saw that 6 people died on the spot and 2 were injured due to the explosion of the bomb in the room. After this the rescue team started the rescue work.
Taking cognizance of the blast, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Anwar has sought a report from the regional police officer of Dera Ghazi Khan. He also directed the Muzaffargarh District Police Officer to investigate the matter from all aspects.
