New Delhi: Delhi Police said that various shopping malls in the national capital received bomb threat mails on Tuesday. According to Delhi Police, Chanakya Mall, Select Citywalk, Ambience Mall, DLF, Cinepolis, Pacific Mall, Primus Hospital and Unity Group received the threat mail, which said, ‘Explosives will explode in a few hours.’ Delhi Police said that as soon as the mail came to their notice, the mall authorities informed Delhi Police. Immediately after receiving the information, Delhi Police started investigation. Bomb disposal squad and fire tenders have reached the spot. No bomb has been found yet.
Dateline not mentioned in email
According to a senior police officer, initial investigation has revealed that the dateline has not been mentioned in the threatening email. This mail has been sent to many malls and other places. Investigation is currently underway. More information is awaited in the case.
Bomb threat was also received on 17 August
Earlier also, bomb threats were received in many malls of Delhi-NCR. Gurugram Police said that on August 17, a bomb threat was received at Ambience Mall in Gurugram, but no suspicious thing was found during the search. The administration of Ambience Mall received an email stating that a bomb has been placed in the mall. On receiving the information, all teams including bomb detection and disposal squad, dog squad and SWAT team reached the spot. No one found anything during the investigation.
On August 2, a threatening mail was received at the school
Gurugram Police said that if anyone is found spreading misleading or false information about bomb threat through any post on social media or email, legal action will be taken against him. Officials said that on August 2, a school in Greater Kailash area of ​​Delhi received an email in which it was threatened with a bomb blast. According to Delhi Police, the email said that a bomb has been planted in the school, however, nothing was found during investigation.
