Delhi Waqf Board Money Laundering Case: Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan was sent to judicial custody till September 23 by a Delhi court. The ED had sought judicial custody from the court. On September 2, the ED arrested him in a money laundering case.
ED presented Amanatullah Khan in Rouse Avenue Court. Amanatullah Khan has been in ED remand for 7 days in the case of alleged scam in Delhi Waqf Board. ED said that investigation in the case is still going on, it will soon file a supplementary charge sheet in the case, if Amanatullah Khan is not sent to judicial custody, he can influence witnesses and evidence.

At the same time, Amanatullah Khan’s lawyer opposed the ED’s demand to send the Aam Aadmi Party MLA to judicial custody. Earlier, the Rouse Avenue Court had reserved the decision on the ED’s demand to send AAP leader Amanatullah Khan to judicial custody.
What is the allegation against Amanatullah Khan?
Let us tell you that on September 2, ED reached the house of AAP MLA from Okhla, Delhi, Amanatullah Khan. He was arrested after interrogation. Earlier also last year, ED had interrogated him for several hours in the case of money laundering related to Delhi Waqf Board. After filing the charge sheet, ED had sent summons to Amanatullah six times in a row.
It is worth noting that the CBI had registered a case against Amanatullah Khan for alleged irregularities in the Waqf Board. The CBI had registered an FIR against MLA Amanatullah Khan and others under sections of criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Along with this, the ACB and ED are also conducting parallel investigations against the MLA.
AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan is accused of making illegal appointments to 32 posts as the chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board in 2016 and also renting out the board’s property.
