ED summons Abhishek Banerjee: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday (June 8) questioned the wife of Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in the coal scam case. Meanwhile, the ED has sent summons to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee in the teacher recruitment case. Sources said that he has been asked to come to the ED’s office at CGO Complex on June 13.
On summon from ED, Abhishek Banerjee said, “I will not go to ED office because I am busy in the campaign.” He also said about the questioning of his wife that the purpose of this is to stop the public relations campaign before our panchayat elections.

ED interrogated Abhishek Banerjee’s wife Rujira for four hours in the coal scam case. News agency PTI quoted officials as saying that investigators had a three-page questionnaire to question Rujira. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee refused to comment on Rujira being questioned by the ED, saying, “Let it be, this is my family matter and I don’t want to speak about it.” Rujira is a mature woman.
