‘Everything is over for us, now that’s it…’, Kolkata rape-murder case victim’s parents express their pain

Kolkata Rape Murder Case: In the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the victim’s mother and father shared their pain with ABP News. After their daughter’s death, the parents broke down crying on camera while waiting for her endless search.

He said, “There are crores of people with us. The last time I saw my daughter, I had sacrificed my life. Everything is over for us and now we are waiting for justice.”

‘Daughter had told me about the problems in the hospital…’

The parents of the victim of RG Kar Hospital said that she had informed the hospital and her office about her problems. They said, “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi He has spoken about my daughter from Red Fort today (15 August). I have faith in the government but the CBI has said that the investigation will soon provide answers.”

12 people arrested so far

The body of a female trainee doctor was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College on August 9. The woman was raped and then brutally murdered. A civic volunteer was arrested the very next day in this entire case. The responsibility of investigating the case has been handed over to the CBI, which called five doctors for questioning on Thursday. So far 12 people have been arrested in the rape-murder case.

Delhi Medical Association put forward three demands

Dr Prakash Lalchdani, state secretary of Delhi Medical Association, said, “Medical associations and doctor fraternity across the country are angry over this incident. Resident doctors are protesting across the country. Now the time has come that the government should take this protest seriously as the Indian Medical Association and state associations are going to participate in it. If adequate action is not taken and our demands are not met, this protest will be long lasting. Our main demands are – a central act to curb violence against medical professionals, declare hospitals and medical establishments as safe zones to avoid unnecessary crowds, improve the working conditions of medical professionals and justice for the victim – punish those guilty and give proper compensation to the victim’s family.”
