Fake encounter, Mahapanchayat and FIR…, Samrat government surrounded in Bharat Tiwari case, Bihar is demanding justice

Bharat Tiwari Encounter: Bharat Tiwari encounter case in Bhojpur, Bihar has now taken a big social and political form. In this context, an all-party mahapanchayat was organized today in Bharat Tiwari’s village Biloti, in which a large number of people participated. People of Brahmin community, many social organizations and representatives of various political parties also attended this Mahapanchayat. The main objective of the Mahapanchayat was to provide justice to Bharat Tiwari and bring out the truth about the alleged fake encounter. The atmosphere had become heated even before the Mahapanchayat.

Supporters demonstrated both their protest and respect by writing “Shaheed Bharat Nagar” on the village board. People say that Bharat Tiwari had fought for the village and the flood victims, hence he should get the status of martyr and the village should also be named after him.

Throwed the weapon then why did you shoot?

It is noteworthy that on June 17, Bihar Police had encountered Bharat Tiwari. Immediately after the police action, the family members made serious allegations calling it fake. He said that Bharat Tiwari had surrendered, yet he was shot. This question has now become the center of the movement. If he had laid down his arms, then why was he killed?

The people participating in the Mahapanchayat had only one demand – Bharat Tiwari should get justice and strict action should be taken against the guilty policemen. During this period three major demands came forward. First, an impartial and judicial investigation into the encounter; Second, strict action against guilty police officers; And thirdly, solution to the problems of flood affected villages. The emotional aspect was also very strong in this whole matter.

In the Mahapanchayat, Bharat Tiwari’s mother tearfully pleaded for justice for her son and said that whoever had killed her son should be hanged. His appeal made the people present there emotional and further intensified the movement. Actually, this matter started when Bharat Tiwari openly challenged the system with weapons through Facebook Live. After this, on June 16, the police declared him mentally unwell, but the next day on June 17, the same person was encountered. This contradiction has now become the biggest question.

Emperor’s government stuck

People’s opinion about Bharat Tiwari is also divided into two parts. Some people consider him a criminal, while the crowd gathered in the Mahapanchayat is calling him the messiah of the poor and a revolutionary who raised his voice against the system. This is the reason that now this matter is not just an encounter but has taken the form of a mass movement. In view of the increasing pressure, the government has ordered a judicial inquiry into this matter. Along with this, on the complaint of Bharat Tiwari’s mother, an FIR has also been registered against the DSP, SHO and other policemen.

Jagdishpur DSP Rajesh Sharma has been removed from his post and attached to the headquarters and a new officer has been posted in his place. Meanwhile, protests regarding this matter have intensified from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh. Candle marches were taken out in cities like Motihari and Bahraich and various organizations raised their voice demanding justice. This issue is also becoming heated at the political level.

Many leaders from Rohini Acharya to Prashant Kishore have raised questions on the government and demanded a transparent investigation. Overall, Bharat Tiwari encounter has now taken the form of a big political and social controversy. The question is not just about the death of one person, but about the law, order and credibility of the justice system. Now everyone’s eyes are on the judicial investigation – will the truth come out or will this case also become a victim of politics.
