Former principal Sandeep Ghosh’s troubles increased, after CBI now IMA took this big action

Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: The troubles of former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh, who is embroiled in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, are increasing. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has suspended the membership of Sandip Ghosh, who is under investigation for financial irregularities and negligence in handling the rape-murder case at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital.

IMA issued a statement saying, the committee constituted by National President Dr. RV Ashokan on Wednesday (August 28) took cognizance of the rape and murder case of the trainee doctor and the subsequent developments in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and considered it. After which IMA General Secretary Ashokan met the victim’s parents at their home.

Doctors’ associations had demanded action against Sandeep Ghosh

Meanwhile, the disciplinary committee constituted by IMA national president Dr. RV Ashokan has unanimously decided to suspend the membership of Kolkata branch vice-president Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. Along with this, the order states, IMA Bengal state branch as well as some associations of doctors have demanded action citing the nature of defaming the entire profession by you.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) said its national president met the parents of the victim trainee doctor, where they complained about the way the situation was handled by the former principal of the college, Sandip Ghosh, who said that “there was a lack of sensitivity in handling the matter in a proper manner as per the responsibility exercised by him in his dealings with them.”

CBI is also investigating the corruption case

The CBI has questioned Sandip Ghosh in the rape and murder case of the doctor and has also conducted a lie-detector test. However, Sandip Ghosh is not charged with the murder of the doctor. But he is facing non-bailable corruption charges.
