The singer’s relationship with his wife Shalini, who was addicted to wealth, fame and intoxication, started deteriorating. Eventually, they got divorced between the years 2022-23 and they separated.

According to Pinkvilla, Honey Singh said, ‘Our relationship was not very good at that time. There was a distance between us and the reason for this was my excessive travel. At that time, I gave importance only to my career and neglected my family. At that time, I was completely immersed in wealth, fame, drugs and women.’ Honey Singh has said all these things in an interview given to Lallantop.

Those people made fun of me. I started taking those drugs so much that I used to be intoxicated all the time. I did not know what was going on around me. It took me a long time to get out of this but when I came to my senses, my relationship with my wife had deteriorated.’
