Here, on Tuesday (August 27), the people of the town got vegetables for free in a dispute over transactions between retail vegetable sellers and wholesale vegetable sellers in the vegetable market. During this time, amid the growing dispute with the wholesale sellers, the retail sellers of the town distributed vegetables for free to the buyers who came to buy vegetables.

According to India Today’s report, after learning about the campaign of distributing free vegetables by local shopkeepers, many city dwellers rushed to the markets to get free vegetables. During this time, the markets soon filled up with people and many people were seen returning home with bags full of vegetables.

Actually, the main reason for free distribution of vegetables is said to be the differences between wholesale and retail traders. The condition is that the wholesale traders will not sell vegetables in retail (one kg and half kg). The rift between the two traders continued for some time, because the wholesale traders violated the agreement and started retail sales. Angered by this attitude, the retail traders distributed vegetables to the public for free to express their protest and closed the market.

Wholesale traders are causing losses to other traders by selling vegetables

Meanwhile, retailers said that about 150 families (retailers) are earning their livelihood by selling vegetables in the market, but the wholesale traders are violating the contract and selling vegetables in retail and causing damage to their market. They said that wholesale traders, who open their shops around 4 am, should close their shops by 8 am. However, except for a few, most of them continued business even after 8 am. At present, there are 18 wholesale traders in the market.

However, even before this, there was a dispute between both the parties on this issue, but later an agreement was reached after talks, but once again this issue came to the fore, because the wholesale traders violated the agreement and started selling vegetables in retail.
